Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal 2008 Announced

‘The Hidden Treasure’ is glad to announce Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal 2008 Pageant. Organised over the last 14 years, this is the seventh consecutive year for Dabur Vatika to be the main sponsor of the pageant.

Applications for Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal 2008 Pageant will be accepted from June 18, 2008 till July 06, 2008. To participate in this pageant one must be Nepali citizen, unmarried female between 19-25 age bracket (as on June18, 2008). The minimum academic qualification is 10+2 or equivalent and the minimum height is 5 ft. 4 inches. The application forms are available and can be submitted at The Hidden Treasure office and all Nanglo The Bakery Café outlets. For prospective applicants from outside the valley, application forms are also available at the following four towns: Birgunj- Hotel Makalu (Ph: 528500), Dharan- Uttam’s Creation (Ph: 9842025137), Butwal- Showcraft International (Ph: 543490) and Pokhara- The Looks Fashion Home Event Management (Ph: 9846030934). As in the past years, emphasis will be laid on the training of the contestants.The selected candidates will go through a holistic training program conducted by best professionals in the country. This specific training will provide them tips on grooming and confidence-building exercises which will help in improving overall personality development. This will help them to enhance their personality, confidence and intelligence. Apart from the increased focus on training, in order to further fine-tune the desired traits of the contestants, a closed camp will also be conducted. The closed camp will be attended by only short listed candidates and will provide them the opportunity to be in the proper mindset and also be more focused for the Grand Finale.

A distinguished panel of judges comprising of eminent personalities will select the winners. The winner of Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal 2008 will have the opportunity to represent Nepal at the Miss World Pageant in Ukraine. Similarly, the First runner-up and the Second runner-up will represent Nepal at Miss Earth, Philippines and Beauty of the World, China respectively.

The winner of Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal 2008 will receive a cash prize of Rupees One Lakh and a Kinetic Nova Scooter. Similarly, the First runner-up will receive Rupees Sixty Thousand and the Second runner-up Rupees Forty Thousand. The pageant will also have various title awards and the winner of each title will receive cash prizes as well.

With the aim to encourage young Nepalese girls from various walks of life, Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal Pageant offers a platform to the contestants to enable them for leadership in society. Dabur Vatika believes that young talented people should be given the opportunity to prove their aptitude and help society progress evolving with the changing times and requirements.
